OreganoOregano is a perennial plant that likes early sun with partial afternoon shade.  They are quite drought tolerant and only require watering during excessively dry periods.

Oregano can be harvested any time once the plants have reached over 10cm high.

Oregano can be grown in pots or directly in the ground.  Plants should be cut back to ground level and covered over with a layer of mulch in winter if in the ground.

Butterflies love Oregano and it repels pests that commonly affect beans and broccoli so it is great for companion planting.

Oregano is perfect for enhancing pasta or pizza sauce and is good in stews and Greek salads.
